Ciaran Roche (FBD), Sean Fennell (EazySafe) and Martin O'Halloran (HSA) launch of FarmSafely.com

The Health and Safety Authority have launched an online risk assessment tool which will allow farmers to methodically analyse the risks and dangers involved in the daily running of their business. The Health and Safety Authority are the first safety authority in Europe to launch such a tool which offers innovative software to assess the risk of an industry where health and safety are of huge importance.

EazySafe, an Irish company specialising in online health and safety training, has developed this cutting edge software in line with the Health and Safety Authority. Similar software can be applied to most industries where health and safety training and risk assessments are a must. By adopting online risk assessment and health & safety training, businesses can easily analyse the current status of their site. The EazySafe software will automatically guide them towards any actions which may be required to improve health & safety and reduce accidents.

Companies have full control of the software and can monitor the progress and results of employees as they work their way through the health and safety training. According to EazySafe CEO, Sean Fennell, “online training offers huge benefits such as time and location flexibility as well as enabling the user to control the pace or revisit the training down the road”.  For information on adopting online health & safety training or risk assessment for your company please contact EazySafe.

iPad as a workstation?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

As we know all know laptops are not good to use as regular use workstations without the use of additional peripherals (such as external screens, keyboards and a mouse) usually connected using a docking station.

Well, it looks like the new iPad is introducing new challenges for workstation safety.

From a health and safety standpoint using an iPad as much as you would your PC/laptop would be a bad idea. But I don’t think that many people will want to replace their laptop or PC with an iPad, no matter how lovely it looks it does not do what most people need their work PC to do.
